The Pysanka: A Symbol of Hope
Ambassador Gergana Karadjova donated two Bulgarian pysanky, which are now part of the international initiative “The Pysanka: A Symbol of Hope,” curated by Sofika Zielyk and organized by the Ukrainian Institute of America in partnership with the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations.
Bulgaria is the 20th country to join the exhibition with a pysanka contribution. Since 2022, the collection has grown to more than 1,000 pysanky, with participation from all 50 U.S. states except Alaska.

Children must remain at the heart of UN reform efforts
The Group of Friends of Children and the SDGs — co-chaired by Bulgaria, Jamaica, and Luxembourg — convened its second meeting of the year under the theme: “Ensuring UN80 Delivers for Every Child.”

Ambassador Gergana Karadjova hosted the exhibition “Bulgaria from a Bird’s Eye View”, celebration dedicated to two of Bulgaria’s most significant national holidays – the Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Armed Forces, celebrated on 6 May, and 24 May – the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slavonic Script. The event took place at the Permanent Mission of Bulgaria to the United Nations and was attended by ambassadors of UN Member States, representatives of the UN Secretariat, and representatives of the host country.

Participation of Ambassador Gergana Karadjova in the "Better Together Dialogues" convened by the President of the UN General Assembly
Ambassador Gergana Karadjova took part in the “Better Together Dialogues” held at United Nations Headquarters on 8 May and convened by the President of the General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock. The meeting focused on strengthening global cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence in the context of the Global Digital Compact and in preparation for the First Global Dialogue on AI Governance, to be held in Geneva on 6–7 July.

During the Eleventh Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Ambassador Gergana Karadjova, Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the United Nations, delivered a national statement.
Bulgaria reaffirmed its strong commitment to a world free of nuclear weapons through a step-by-step, realistic and verifiable approach, grounded in international law and Article VI of the NPT.
