On July 6 2026, Nikola Nikolov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, held a meeting with Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Artur Hovhannisyan, Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Bulgaria, also attended the meeting.
During the conversation, they discussed opportunities for further deepening bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Armenia, intensifying political dialogue, and implementing various joint initiatives.
The Ambassador emphasized that the Armenian community is an integral and highly valued part of Bulgarian society—a symbol of the friendship and historical ties between Bulgaria and Armenia. The willingness of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to expedite certain Bulgarian cultural initiatives was also welcomed.
